A renowned Kwakwaka’wakw artist, author and political activist, Gord Hill is the creator of The 500 Years of Indigenous Resistance Comic Book, The Anti-Capitalist Resistance Comic Book and The Antifa Comic Book.

A frequent speaker on the connection between art and activism, his books have been translated into French, German and Spanish. Hill has been an advocate for Indigenous people since 1988, participating in numerous protests, blockades, rallies and other movements.

The annual Lehan Family Activism & the Arts Lecture features a distinguished guest presenting ideas on how the arts is a catalyst for change in advancing the understanding and goals of various social justice topics.
