Puppets Forsaken (David Gifford & Natali Leduc)
With work by Mowry Baden
And a performance by Christopher Butterfield
Puppets Forsaken (UVic Visual Arts instructor David Gifford & Natali Leduc) presents The Noisebau, an interactive installation/performance of sounding sculptures. Under the auspices of puppetry and stage magic, The Noisebau creates an operatic soundscape of acoustic noise that could pose as surrogates for dancers, musicians and set design.
As an opening act, sculptor and UVic Professor Emeritus Mowry Baden presents an interactive vibrating sculpture and UVic Music professor, Christopher Butterfield, will recite Kurt Schwitters Ursonata sound poem.
